It's cool to read the story of David, and then see it referenced in Acts and Psalms. It shows how God's redemptive plan was set in place from the beginning and not a reaction or change. God is still on plan A.

I had an aha moment myself during the readings the last couple of weeks. I had never read the Old Testament before and reading of David and then realizing this is the David in the Psalms. Also this week it really cemented for me the New Covenant and how the spirit of God would come over the kings and prophets in the Old Testament, but leave I didn't put the puzzle pieces together with the New Covenant and how the Holy Spirit is with all of the believers and we do not have to look to kings and prophets to hear the voice of God. At least that is my understanding of it right now.
