Hey all! Iβm in the middle of a massive kitchen and balcony renovation, so Iβm hunting for a good tech website. I was reading day 2 of the devotional today (redeeming the work of our hands) and I was reminded of something the Lord showed me when my kids were young.
I was working two jobs, a single mother, had three kids, and was serving in the youth department at my church. As I piled on responsibility- the Lord said βyou are missing what is importantβ.
Long story short I was so busy that I was neglecting to really see, connect with, and train my kids. Even though we was at the church most days - they needed more from their mom.
As parents at any age we have such a great calling - to love our children well, to teach them the rhythms of following the Lord, and to pray them through every season.

Todayβs encouragement on this app is the same thought I had for several days now. We tend to trust the vision of our eyes more than the word of the Lord.
Last week, I had several things happening in my face with my kids that were the complete opposite than where my prayers had been focused. My mind started to spiral. I tried to pray in faith but couldnβt get past what I see.
I pulled out my Bible and started reading to myself out loud. Hearing myself shift focus gave me the strength I needed to get back into a place of faith. When I was in the middle of my thoughts - it was like spiritual amnesia. I could not muster up a single word to pray. That place feels so dry- but as I read aloud the living word it shifted. I got out of my houseβ¦
The second part of the encouragement is what spoke to me in my current season of walking with Jesus or at least learning to. βGodβs will is not undone by our trials. It is not even undone by our sin. He knows exactly what He is doing. No plan of His can be thwarted."
Today, it finally clicked that the fruit of the spirit is not something that anyone can manufacture through merit alone. It is what we end up with when we are transformed by His grace. I tend to question a lot the hopeful words of Jeremiah 29:11 I had the privilege of receiving audibly in a time when I had no understanding 4 years ago. I often questioned if what God has planned for me, will ever cease to be since I never felt worthy due to my colorful past; but even more so now in the knowing that I am not worthy of such grace. But I ask to trust Him and His character more and more each day as I see the flawed character that overwhelms this world. It wasnβt something I paid attention to in the past because I didnβt know what to compare it to before I got to know Jesus more. But now by the grace of God I see the distinction more clearly each and every day. And that is what we need more of right now. To be more like Jesus so that we can stand out and be different. To shine our light so that people can see and glorify our Father in Heaven. Itβs never about judging but recognizing. We need to be able to see, recognize, and seperate the two kingdoms from one another. Because there is such a huge gap between the two!

Hello. I don't have any real advice except for appliances get good quality. Don't buy Frigidaire/ Electrolux. We have a refrigerator that when we first got it everything was warm. I threw out a lot of food. It needed adjustments. The ice maker was on recall it was replaced but doesn't always work. I had a washer and dryer. I've already replaced the washer with aGE. if you can afford it get the extended warranty. If you have a problem and didn't get it they don't want to know you. Just the microwave and dryer gave us no problems. And absolutely have patience
