Not gonna lie, Job is getting me down a bit! What a terrible period. I liked Matthew, it was upbeat and positive. I’m definitely a glass half full kind of girl! How’s everyone doing?

Reading Matthew today (especially next to Job and his continued conversation with his friends-- and then Psalms complimenting it) ugh my heart is so full. What a glorious thing to think of, Jesus riding proudly yet humbly on a beast that had no understanding of a human riding on it. What a beautiful picture. So blessed to start my day in the Word!

Y'all. "Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshipped..." I'm so curious what this man would have said in this time of worship. Praying for a heart so dedicated to Him that in my hardest times, I still find it in my heart to praise the Lord. I'm getting better, but it ain't easy!

These dig deeper links are amazing. I only read the last one for Job (I'm a day behind🫣) but it talks about how Job was being honored through all these tests rather than the opposite. And it's true- think about how many people talk about Job and God's faithfulness even in hard times like this? To try to wrap your head around that during the hard times... ugh. Then it says- we talk about faith to be healed, but what about faith to be sick? (Or something to that effect) 🤯 Man.
I agree, this is all so sad. Can you imagine the dread in losing all that, including your children? And then to think about, that doesn't just get dealt with, he had to go and personally clean up and witness all of the destruction. The horror.
