Finding God in the Ordinary

God doesn’t just care about the big moments. He’s present in the commute, the kitchen table, the workplace, and the quiet evenings.

This morning, driving into work during a snowfall, I chose to pause. Instead of worrying about the roads or the day ahead, I focused on the beauty of the falling snow—the stillness, the purity, the reminder that God is in even the simplest moments.

Life isn’t meant to be rushed past. Love your family well. Notice the beauty around you. Live each day fully—right where God has you. ✝️

What small moment today reminded you to slow down and be grateful?

Beautiful! I have a habit of “rushing” through life but found it helps to listen to worship music on the way to work. For the last year that’s all I’ve listened to on the way to and from work. It’s calming and I can take in the beauty of Gods creation and creatures. We live in the country close to the bottom of a mountain and I even pray for the animals that are having a tough time with all this ice. Every morning for the last week a lot of deer are sleeping on the side of the road where there is grass. They end up in front of me until they can find a place to get off the road because of the ice crusted snow in the fields and on embankments. It forces me to slow down and just take it in. Life is very short and it’s a great reminder to stop rushing through this life and take in the beauty God has created.
