Psalm 51:12 is convicting to me. I don't think I have some outstanding sin in my life, but the "joy of salvation" seems elusive. And I think the reason it feels elusive is, perhaps, not having a regular pattern of repentance for the so-called little sins like a harsh word here and there, a selfish thought, failure to live up to the standard God puts before me. I don't ever want to get beyond the feeling of joy of having my sins forgiven.
