Abide
“If you abide in me, and my words abide
in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for
you." It is not so much about asking God for material or
3intangible provisions although it may be, however, the
emphasis that I wish to impart concerning the word "abide"
as the essence having a connection with the Lord is the
importance of being in the position as sons and daughters
of our Abba Father God by having a personal relationship
with Jesus Christ that continuously deepens and grows as
time goes by. Abiding in the Lord means "to remain stable
or fixed or to conform or to accept without objection,"
as stated in the Webster dictionary. It is a word that
connotes an enduring, long-lasting, patient attitude. That is
how the Lord sees His relationship with us. Didn't he say it
Himself? We just read it. He invited us to such a degree of
intimacy that is not forced. When we respond in love,
obedience and remain in that position, God promises that
He will make us flourish. All He ever wanted was for us to
stay in love with Him. Abide.
JUST CURIOUS:
Are you connected to God yet? Jump to the next chapter.”
