From the Red Sea to the Empty Tomb

Today’s readings in Exodus 13 & 14, Matthew 27:45–66, and Psalm 28 all point to one powerful truth: God makes a way where there is no way.

In Exodus, the Israelites stood trapped—Pharaoh behind them, the Red Sea in front of them. Humanly speaking, it was over. But God parted the waters. What looked like certain death became a path to freedom.

Then we read Matthew 27.

Darkness covered the land. Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46).The curtain in the temple was torn in two. The earth shook. The tomb was sealed.

It looked finished.

But just like the Red Sea, what looked like defeat was actually deliverance.

The cross was not the end—it was the turning point. The sealed tomb was not proof of failure—it was the setup for resurrection. The same God who split the sea would soon split the grave.

Psalm 28 reminds us: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” (Psalm 28:7)

Jesus went into the darkness so we would not have to stay there. He endured the cross so we could walk through to freedom. The resurrection proves that no stone, no seal, no grave can stop the power of God.

If you’re standing at your own “Red Sea” today… if things look sealed and hopeless… remember this:

God specializes in impossible moments. He turns graves into gardens. And Sunday is always coming.

Grateful for a Savior who died for us… and rose again. ✝️

Another day closer to Christ’s second coming and the end of Satan!!! I praise God as we know our enemy’s days are numbered and Christ has shown us The Way to defeat him.

“It is written!”

As we put God’s Word in our hearts and minds, He can draw it out when we need it!

Praise our Lord!!!!
