In a season of Decision
Hi, I'm new to this group, but was hoping you all could say a prayer for me... I am a follower of Jesus and want His Will for my life more than anything else. I am trying to decide if I should leave the church and state I am in right now and go to the Sight and Sound Conservatory to be a Christian Actress at Sight and Sound Theatres in Pennsylvania. I've been told, the Lord put me in this church and the state of Michigan, so I need to stay here and if He wanted me in PA then He would have let me be born there ... I am struggling to believe that is true, especially because I feel the calling to go, so strong! I've been praying constantly to the Lord for guidance. Please say a prayer as well.... Thank you

Welcome—you’re really glad you spoke up and asked for prayer. What you shared comes from a sincere heart that truly wants to honor Jesus, and that matters more than having everything figured out right now.
One thing Scripture shows us again and again is that God often guides step by step, not by birthplace or comfort zones. Abraham wasn’t born where he was called to go. Moses didn’t stay where he started. The disciples left familiar places when Jesus said, “Follow Me.” God’s will isn’t limited by geography—He leads those who are willing to listen and obey.
It’s okay to sit with this tension. A strong calling doesn’t always mean “go immediately,” but it also shouldn’t be dismissed because of what others assume God would or wouldn’t do. The Bible encourages us to trust God with our whole heart and not lean only on human understanding (Proverbs 3:5–6). If you’re truly seeking Him—praying, surrendering, asking for wisdom—He promises to guide you.
Keep asking God questions like:
“Lord, shape my desires so they line up with Yours.”
“Open doors that are from You, and gently close the ones that aren’t.”
“Give me peace that confirms Your direction, not fear that confuses it.”
We’ll absolutely be praying—for clarity, peace, wise counsel, and courage to follow wherever He leads. Trust that God knows how to shepherd a willing heart. He’s not trying to trick you or keep you guessing—He’s faithful to guide those who truly want His will. 🙏
You’re not alone in this. Keep listening. Keep surrendering. He will make the path clear in His time.
