Welcome to all our new members—we’re really glad you’re here! This group is about reading God’s Word together, learning from it, and encouraging one another along the way.

In our most recent readings—Genesis 23 & 24, Matthew 9, and Psalm 9:7–12—there’s a strong thread of faith in action. Abraham shows deep trust and integrity even in grief, we see God’s hand clearly guiding Isaac and Rebekah’s story, Jesus meets people right where they are with compassion and authority, and the Psalm reminds us that the Lord reigns justly and never forgets those who seek Him.

What stood out to you in these readings?

  • Was there a moment of trust, obedience, or compassion that caught your attention?

  • Did anything challenge the way you think about faith in everyday life?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and learning from each other.

For me, what really caught my eye is that it's not so much Jesus healing people, it's the belief that people had in him, that truly healed them. In my life, I have always thought, God will heal me if he can, but really what I need to do is believe in him and that he can heal me. But I need to do the work as well. It can't all just be him. I've always believed in God, but I never had an intimate relationship with him, like I do now. It's an amazing feeling to have God as a best friend, someone you can talk to about anything, vent to, and you know always has your back. Now I can see how the intimate relationship strengthens the bond with God, something I've been lacking my entire life until now & I am so grateful I have found that! :)
