Hello fellow newbies! Have you found your verse? Ya know, the verse that made it sync into place? Mine hit me one night when I was sitting in bed reading through the “Dig Deeper” portion. I have always been waiting for a feeling, or a knowing. Or something. Surely something has to happen right? I knew I wasn’t going to hear some voice in my head, or feel something on my body. But, I was always waiting. So I’m reading this paragraph and it gives a scripture. I read it and went to go on to the next sentence, but something stopped me. I literally felt dumbstruck. All this time waiting for some miraculous feeling, or some joyous feeling….. and it’s dumbstruck. So I’m sitting here in bed, reading on my phone, jaw on the floor lol. I went back and reread the verse. Three times. And I finally understood. I finally got it. I struggled for so long with the age old question “Is God real?” I didn’t grow up in a religious home, my Mom left the choice up to me. So I didn’t have blind faith like so many. But in that one verse, was the entire answer. Romans 8:24-25 "Hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it." Hope. That’s it. That’s all it takes! I would rather live a life of hope and belief, than the colder alternative. What’s your verse that finally brought you to God?

This is good! Thank you for sharing! I'm going to have to look in my journal, because I know there has been at least one. For a while I struggled with knowing how I could 'love' God wholly, and I believe it's because I was comparing His love to the love I felt from my own earthly father, and that didn't feel very... well convincing. Or warm. But once I realized that was the enemy creating a mental blockage- I've been working through that and I feel I'm on a solid path to giving my heart and trust to Him. Anyway- I didn't answer your question haha, but I'll be looking for the specific answer for sure :)
